How does the site work?

Once a person becomes a registered member of this site, his/ her contact information (mobile number) and blood group will be stored in the data base. The person who needs blood can submit a request in our site according to the location they require blood. The server of the site will inform registered member in that particular location through SMS, which contains the required blood group, the location of the hospital were you need blood and contact number. Once the SMS is received, the donor can contact the person who needs blood.
We request the registered members to keep their mobile phone numbers updated in our site. The contact number of the registered members will not be given out to anyone or used for promotional purposes. Our site will not send donor information to the person who requires the blood nevertheless we inform the donor about the requirement of blood in particular hospital once a request is made in our site, which enhances the service provided by this site for female donors and limits any privacy hazards.

How to become a donor?

Blood donation can be done by visiting a blood bank or a hospital with blood transfusion facility. As of today in India hospitals are trying very hard to fulfil the need of blood for various kinds of surgeries and treatments. There are lots of public and private funded programs to meet this requirement, but still we are not able to reach the goal. Another drawback of the current programmes is that they don't meet the day-to-day requirement and people are not willing to provide their contact information due to privacy hazards. In our site, we are introducing a new way of linking the needy and the provider with the real time network.
